OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Wilma and I went with Tim, Leigh,Tadd, and Trey and about 60 others from Union to Atlanta on Saturday, November 26 to help check the Shoeboxes before they were shipped out to kids around the world. There was 850,000 in the warehouse going to the kids in India. It was a wonderful experence.

LOAVES AND FISHES
Loaves and Fishes is a food pantry ministry of the Dadeville Ministerial Association. Calvary Baptist is one of the many Churches that help with this much-needed ministry. The vision of the ministry is to meet the needs of those in Tallapoosa County that are in need of food. February 1, 2007 Loaves and Fishes will begin its seventh year of service with over a million pounds of food distributed. The pantry is located at 337 Hatcher St. Dadeville, Al. Distribution is on Thursday of each week from 10.00- 12.00. Volunteers staff the pantry. One person per household may fill out an eligibility form and show proof of physical address. If criteria is meet one person per household may receive up to 15lbs of food each week. The food is obtained from the East Alabama Food Bank of Auburn for a shared maintenance fee for delivery. Loaves and Fishes is currently supported by 15 area Churches, a first time grant from the emergency fund and shelter program, individuals and local business.
